Make an Impact with MCWT!

September Bi-Monthly Volunteer Information Meeting

Thursday, September 10, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. - Virtual Event

Join us for MCWT’s November Volunteer Information Meeting, a welcoming and engaging session designed to connect, inform, and celebrate our volunteer community.

During the meeting, you’ll hear from Mike Hemmingsen with Vervint, who will share his experience as an MCWT volunteer, what he has gained from giving back, and why volunteering continues to be meaningful to him. Vervint also hosted MCWT’s Camp Infinity in Grand Rapids, giving Mike a unique perspective on both individual and corporate volunteer engagement.

We’ll also hear from Tammy Doroshewitz, who will speak to the important role volunteers play in bringing MCWT programming to life. She’ll highlight how essential volunteers are to programs such as Elevate and Reignite! and how their time, expertise, mentorship, and support help strengthen and expand our impact.

We’ll take a look back at everything our volunteer community accomplished this past quarter, share our 2026 year-to-date volunteer impact and highlights, and celebrate the many ways volunteers have supported MCWT’s mission across programs, events, and initiatives.

And, of course, we’ll look ahead! You’ll get a preview of upcoming volunteer opportunities and learn about new ways to lend your time and talents in the months ahead.

Whether you’re brand new or a long-time volunteer, this meeting is a great way to stay informed, feel appreciated, and get involved. Together, we’re building a stronger network of volunteers to help make Michigan the number one state for women and girls in technology.
