2025 Woman of the Year in Technology

This Women’s History Month, we’re not just looking back — we’re celebrating the history being made right now by the trailblazing women in Michigan’s tech community. At MCWT’s 2^nd annual International Women’s Day Celebration on Friday, March 28, 2025, we’ll honor four extraordinary women who are shaping the future of technology in Michigan as part of our 2025 Woman of the Year in Technology Awards. 

Nominate a Trailblazer Today 
Do you know someone who’s making a difference in Michigan’s tech industry? Or is that someone you? MCWT is seeking nominations for this award, celebrating women who are breaking barriers, uplifting others, and leaving a lasting impact on the tech community.

Nominations are open now through Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at 8 p.m. EST. Nominations can be submitted at no cost, and anyone may nominate themselves or someone else using this form:

Award Categories 
This year’s awards will recognize women making an impact in four key areas: 

• Education: Honoring those who inspire girls to explore tech through teaching, mentoring, or leading educational initiatives, particularly in middle and high school. 

• Emerging Leader: Celebrating early-career women who are already making bold moves and leaving their mark on Michigan’s tech industry. 

• Community Impact: Acknowledging leaders and business owners creating meaningful opportunities and driving change for women and girls in their communities through tech. 

•  Women Empowerment:  Recognizing trailblazers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and mentorship, paving the way for women to succeed in Michigan’s tech industry.

The Woman of the Year in Technology awards aren't just about recognition — they are about celebrating the women transforming Michigan’s tech industry. These trailblazers are shaping the future, breaking barriers, and inspiring others to join them in creating a more inclusive and innovative tech ecosystem. By honoring their stories, we hope to spark even greater progress for women and girls in tech. 

The Celebration 
The Woman of the Year in Technology winners will be revealed at the 2^nd annual International Women’s Day Celebration on March 28, 2025. This inspiring event will showcase their incredible achievements and celebrate the history they’re making for women and girls in tech.
