This Camp Infinity summer tech camp comprises a series of sessions designed to introduce Marquette County girls, entering grades 5 through 8 this fall, to computer and internet technologies through hands-on activities. Each session aims to engage them in age-appropriate topics, spanning game design, app development, and robotics programming.

During the sessions, campers will have an opportunity to meet with professional women and men who work in technological fields and explore the many exciting and rewarding tech careers. Each week-long technology camp costs $100 per camper and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

A limited number of scholarships are available; complete your scholarship application here. If you are ready to register, please do so here

For campers in grades 5-6, the program involves programming Dash robots using block-based coding and creating animations and simple games using Scratch Programming. Additionally, the students will take part in mini-sessions that emphasize programming skills and real-world applications of technology.

DASH Robot:
Girls will be introduced to the wonder of coding and robotics with the Dash programmable robot, learning the fundamental concepts of problem solving and computer science.

Scratch Programming:
In this engaging curriculum, girls use the computer to develop games such as name animation, boat racing, memory game and flappy parrot. This is designed for all girls, those with and without prior block coding/programming experience.

Campers in grades 7-8 will construct fully functional apps using MIT App Inventor and enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through programming Lego SPIKE Prime robots. Similar to the younger group, these students will also engage in mini-sessions highlighting programming skills and real-world technology uses.

App Inventor:
This engaging curriculum will engage girls using the computer and mobile device/tablet to create Magic 8 Ball and Photo Booth apps.

Spike Program:
Working together in small teams, campers will systematically build, test and refine programs, using the design process method.

Throughout each camp series, all campers will interact with both professional women and men working in technological fields, providing them with a broader perspective on the exciting and rewarding careers available in technology.

The cost for each week-long technology camp is $100 per camper and includes a light breakfast and lunch.
