5th & 6th graders: Ozobot Programming and HTML Website Design

Campers in the 5th and 6th grades will work with the Ozobot Evo robot, which is a small programmable robot that can be controlled using block-based programming. Girls will use a graphical interface to drag and drop code blocks to control the robot's behavior. Programming Evo will cover key concepts such as: sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, line navigation, debugging, and color code.

The campers will also be designing a website with multiple pages, learning how to create links between different pages, and how to structure content using HTML tags.

Throughout the program, the campers will be able to watch their programming in real time, watching the robot's behavior change as they modify their code. This real-time feedback can be a valuable tool for helping children learn about cause-and-effect relationships in programming and for building confidence in their abilities.

7th & 8th graders: Finch 2.0 Programming and HTML/CSS Website Design

Campers in the 7th and 8th grades will work with the Bird Brain, Inc. Finch 2.0 robot, a programmable robot that brings computer science to life with a hands-on representation of their code. Programming Finch will cover key concepts such as: moving/turning, controlling wheels, pen mount, LEDs, sound, sensors, conditional statements, control structures, and line tracking.

The campers will also be designing a website with multiple pages, learning how to create links between different pages, how to structure content using HTML, and format their webpage with CSS.

Through these curriculums, campers will enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while also building their creativity and collaboration abilities.

9th-12th graders: Epic Game Design and HTML/CSS Website Design

Campers in the 9th – 12th grade will build their own 3D game using Epic Games Unreal Engine. Developing the 3D game will cover key gaming components such as: collision detection, moving platforms and checkpoints, power-ups and collectibles, conditional statements, and publishing their game.

The campers will also be designing a website with multiple pages, learning how to create links between different pages, how to structure content using HTML, and format their webpage with CSS.

Whether your child is interested in pursuing a career in game design, web development, or simply wants to explore new skills and hobbies, this camp is a perfect choice. With our fun and supportive learning environment, your child will gain confidence and creativity while building valuable technical skills.
